On August 6, 1928, Corporal Edward F. Dolphin, 27, died following a motorcycle accident returning to Troop K Headquarters from patrol.

Trooper John J. Lane died instantly from head and neck injuries on May 13, 1928, at the Bethpage barracks.

Trooper Simpson died on December 1, 1927, at the age of 31, of injuries from a motor vehicle accident.

On September 8, 1927, Trooper Arnold T. Rasmussen, 23, was shot and killed by a subject he and his partner had arrested for petit larceny.

Trooper Theodore Steinbock, 28, was shot and killed on September 8, 1927 by a subject he and his partner had arrested for petit larceny.

Lieutenant Walter Croasdale, 33, died after his car collided with a road roller on the Tully-Lafayette Highway south of Syracuse on August 11, 1927. 

Sergeant Harry J. Wheeler, 31, a former resident of Schenectady, died in a motorcycle accident on July 15, 1927, on Route 5 near Sherrill, New York.

Trooper Charles M. McGinn died on June 20, 1927, at the age of 25, after his motorcycle collided with a car in the village of Remsen

Trooper Andrew J. Lawrence died following a traffic accident on September 12, 1926.

On October 5, 1925, Trooper Thomas J. Scanlon, 25, and his partner were killed when their vehicle struck a train near Geneva.
