1968: The activation of Troop F made nine Troops within the Division of State Police. Troop F, headquartered in Middletown, took over operations in five counties: Rockland and Orange, formerly Troop K, Sullivan and Ulster, formerly Troop C, and Greene, formerly Troop G. The initial revision of Troop lines started in September 1967, with the goal of making more compact Troop geographical areas for more efficient operations.
