Troop B - July 24, 1982
Trooper Thomas L. Pryme, 35, was killed on July 24, 1982, in a automobile crash on Route 56 near the village of Potsdam.
Trooper Pryme had just completed his shift and was returning to home when his vehicle was struck head-on by a van being operated by an intoxicated driver. Trooper Pryme was pinned in the vehicle and died at the scene.
Trooper Pryme, an eleven year veteran, was assigned to SP Canton.
