Troop B - August 3, 2008
Trooper Shawn W. Snow was tragically electrocuted on August 3, 2008, in the city of Ogdensburg, St. Lawrence County.
While repairing a flat tire on an antique fire truck, the ladder was raised to redistribute the weight, and made contact with a high voltage power line, causing the death of Trooper Snow and the fire truck driver.
Trooper Snow was 47 years old. He entered the New York State Police on October 2, 1989 and was assigned to Troop B, SP Ray Brook - Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit.
