What we do:

Our unit is tasked with the security and safety of the NYS Capitol by utilizing state of the art security systems. We screen all personnel and their property as well as all the deliveries entering the Capitol and Legislative Office building identifying any threats that may be present that would risk the safety and security of the facility. We are the only non-sworn uniform members of the NYS Police.

What you need to join:

• Be at least 18 years old;
• Have a HS Diploma;
• Possess a Valid NYS Driver’s license; and
• Be a United States citizen.

All certifications and training will be provided upon hiring.  This position allows you to start your career with NYS while seeking higher education and/or any other opportunities within the State of New York!
