Technical Sergeant Scott C. Norcutt became a member of the New York State Police On March 20, 1989. He entered into disability retirement from the New York State Police after 14 years of service on March 26, 2003. On June 20, 2023, he died as a result of pancreatic cancer stemming from his assignment to the World Trade Center site, following the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. In response to the events of 9/11, Technical Sergeant Norcutt was assigned to aid with the search and recovery efforts in New York City as part of the New York State Police Detail. Technical Sergeant Norcutt is survived by his wife and three children.
