On June 11, 2024, the New York State Police from the Somers barracks arrested Jossette F. Thompson, age 51, of Dover, NY, for Endangering the Welfare of an Incompetent or Physically Disabled Person, a class E felony.
Investigation determined Thompson, while employed at The Paramount at Somers Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, physically attacked a disabled resident of the facility.
Thompson was arraigned before the town of Somers Court and released on her own recognizance to reappear on July 22, 2024, at 5:30 p.m.
