Webster Man Charged in Fatal DWI Crash on State Route 104

The New York State Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred on Saturday, September 12, 2025, at approximately 7:40 p.m. on State Route 104 in the town of Sodus.

Preliminary investigation determined that a 2016 Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck operated by Robert C. Meyers, age 41, of Webster, NY, was traveling westbound on State Route 104 when it struck the rear of a motorcycle that had slowed to make a left turn into a residential community.

A 25-year-old male operated the motorcycle, was ejected, and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Subsequent to a DWI investigation, Meyers was determined to be impaired. He was charged with the following:

  • Vehicular Manslaughter 2nd (D Felony)
  • Driving While Intoxicated (Unclassified Misdemeanor)
  • Driving While Intoxicated, .08% BAC or Greater (Unclassified Misdemeanor)

The investigation remains ongoing.
