*Update* On October 3, 2024, the three suspects were arrested after they were observed operating a stolen 2023 Subaru Crosstrek and were taken into custody when they stopped at a shop in the city of Rochester and exited the vehicle.
The charges are as follows: 17-year-old male: two counts of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 3rd (D Felony), Reckless Endangerment 1st (D Felony), and two counts of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th (E Felony). 17-year-old male: two counts of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 3rd (D Felony), Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th (E Felony). Gelsey A. Pulusou, age 18, of Rochester, NY: two counts of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 3rd (D Felony), Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th (E Felony).
The Monroe County Judge arraigned both 17-year-old males, and Pulusou was taken to Monroe County Jail for CAP arraignment.
On September 30, 2024, at approximately 6:14 pm, troopers from SP Rochester were pursuing a stolen 2020 Hyundai Elantra in the area of Silver Street and Kensington Street in the city of Rochester. The vehicle had three occupants, two males and one female. The New York State Police marked patrol car struck a tree during the pursuit. Both troopers sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment.
The suspect vehicle continued and was located unoccupied in the area of Superior Street in the city of Rochester. The New York State Police are seeking the public's assistance in identifying the three occupants in the vehicle.
The New York State Police Forensic Identification Unit, Collision Reconstruction Unit, the Bureau of Criminal Investigation, and Rochester Police Department are assisting in this ongoing criminal investigation.
