Update: December 10, 2024 - The Dutchess County Medical Examiner has confirmed the deceased is a Caucasian female with brown eyes, weighs 112 pounds, 5 feet 5 inches tall, has gray hair, no scars, marks, or tattoos.
On December 6, 2024, the New York State Police in Rhinebeck and the Hyde Park Police Department began investigating the suspicious death of an unidentified woman found at the Vanderbilt Mansion historical site on Vanderbilt Park Road in Hyde Park, NY.
At approximately noon on Friday a hiker observed the remains of the woman lying face down near the east shore of the Hudson River south of Bard Rock.
