****UPDATE**** State Police investigate Washington County shooting

UPDATE June 24, 2025, at 6:00 p.m.

On June 24, 2025, at about 9:07 a.m. as a result of the continued investigation State Police made an additional arrested of a 17-year-old for two counts of Murder in the second degree. The Youthful Offender was processed at SP Latham and then arraigned at the Washington County Family Court where he was remanded to a detention center without bail.

On May 23, 2025, at about 6:00 p.m. Larose was arraigned at the Washington County Centralized Arraignment Part Court where he was remanded to the Washington County Correctional Facility without bail.

On May 23, 2025, at about 10:00 p.m., with the assistance of the Albany Police Department, State Police also arrested Jordan P. Johnson, 18, of Albany, NY for two counts of Murder in the second degree, a class “A” felony, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the second degree, a class “C” felony and Tampering with Physical Evidence, a class “E” felony. Johnson was transported to SP Latham for processing and then transported to the Washington County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.

The investigation is ongoing.

UPDATE May 23, 2025 at 1:55 p.m. 

David M. Larose, 20 of Albany, NY  was taken into custody on May 23, 2025, at about 12:48 a.m. with the assistance of the Troy Police Department in Troy, NY. He was transported to SP Granville for processing and charged with two counts of Murder in the second degree, a class “A” felony and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the second degree, a class “C” felony. 

Larose was then transported to the Washington County Correctional Facility to await arraignment which is scheduled for this evening at the Washington County Centralized Arraignment Part Court.

UPDATE May 23, 2025 at 11:15 a.m. 

The shooting victims in this investigation have been identified as Adam M. Darrah, 19 of Glens Falls, NY, and Marcus J. Macaulay, 19 of Glens Falls, NY. Both Darrah and Macaulay were pronounced deceased at Glens Falls Hospital late yesterday evening.

A shooting suspect is in custody at this time. Additional information including pending charges will be released as they become available.

On May 22, 2025, State Police along with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to Clay Hill Road in Fort Ann, NY for the reports of a shooting.

On May 22, 2025 at about 9:00 p.m. State Police responded to the area of Clay Hill Road in Fort Ann, NY for the reports of shots fired with individuals injured. On arrival, Troopers located two victims in the roadway who had sustained life-threatening gunshot wounds. Both were transported to Glens Falls Hospital.

At this time the shooter has not been identified and no description is available.
