Update: State Police Investigate Homicide in Sullivan County

On December 26, 2024, at approximately 10:30 a.m., Sullivan County 911 dispatched law enforcement to a reported shooting incident at 10 Sunset Point Yankee Lake in the town of Mamakating. 

When Troopers arrived, they located Thomas K. Fusco, age 65, of Wurtsboro, NY, deceased inside the residence from a gunshot wound.  State Police initiated a homicide investigation with the assistance of the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office and the Sullivan County District Attorney's Office.  The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant at a neighboring residence.  When Troopers entered that residence, they located a 69-year-old female victim deceased from a gunshot wound. She was later identified as Maryann Daloia of Wurtsboro.  Richard Daloia, age 72, of Wurtsboro was also located within the residence deceased from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.  State Police were assisted at the scene by Department of Environmental Conservation Police.

State Police is investigating the suspicious death of an individual who was discovered with gunshot wounds at a residence on Sunset Point in Mamakating, NY.
