Two individuals arrested for robbery 3rd in the town of Champlain

On September 23, 2024, at approximately 3:44 p.m., Troopers responded to the intersection of Locust Street and Main Street in the village of Champlain for a robbery complaint.  An investigation determined the victim was driving in a 2017 Nissan Sentra when a maroon vehicle blocked the victim's vehicle.  Two males, later identified as Fowler-Washington and Smith, were demanding money. The two males reached into the 'victim's vehicle, into the center console and stole money.  The two suspects fled the scene.

Smith and Fowler-Washington were arrested and processed at SP Champlain. Fred Smith, age 26, of Queens, NY, and Ikeem D. Fowler-Washington, age 28, of Far Rockaway, NY, were both charged with robbery 3rd.   They were arraigned in the Town of Champlain Court, where they were released on their own recognizance.
