Troopers Seize Narcotics During Routine Traffic Stop in East Fishkill

On May 12, 2025, members of the Troop K Community Stabilization Unit (CSU) conducted a traffic stop on a 2000 Honda traveling northbound on the Taconic State Parkway in the town of East Fishkill, for violations of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law.

The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was identified as Anyelo L. Santiago, 37, of Manhattan, NY.

During the investigation, a consent search was conducted in conjunction with a vehicle inventory, resulting in the discovery of approximately 111.0 grams of 3,4-Methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA) and approximately 66.2 grams of blue fentanyl pills

Santiago was arrested and charged with the following offenses:

  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 2nd Degree – Class A-II Felony
  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree (Intent to Sell) – Class B Felony
  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree – Class B Felony

Santiago was arraigned in the town of East Fishkill Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail without bail.
