On March 13, 2024, at approximately 1:09 P.M., Troopers out of SP Tupper Lake responded to State Route 3, in the town of Harrietstown for a one vehicle fatal collision. Investigation determined a 2013 red Mini Cooper traveling westbound on State Route 3 and exited the roadway. The operator and sole occupant of the vehicle was identified as Jean M. Crubaugh, age 65 of Tupper Lake, NY was pronounced deceased at the scene.
An autopsy will be performed at Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital on Thursday March 14, 2024
The Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Collision Reconstruction Unit responded to the scene to investigation. State Police were assisted by Saranac Lake fire and rescue and Tupper Lake fire and rescue.
This is still an ongoing investigation.
