Troopers investigate car vs pedestrian collision on State Route 5 and 20

On September 19, 2024, at approximately 9:15 p.m.,  troopers from SP Canandaigua responded to a car versus pedestrian on State Route 5 and 20 in the town of Geneva.

A preliminary investigation revealed a 2018 Ford F350, operated by Nick L. Lefringhouse, age 52, of Florida, was traveling on State Route 5 and 20 when it struck a 38-year-old male pedestrian walking with a bicycle in the roadway. The 38-year-old sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to Geneva General Hospital.
