On June 14, 2024, State Police arrested Samantha R. Caron, age 32, of North Lawrence, NY for assault 3rd, and criminal possession of a weapon 3rd.
On June 14, 2024, at approximately 4:49 p.m., Troopers responded to Church Street in the town of Lawrence for a reported assault. An investigation determined Caron and the victim were involved in a verbal argument which led to Caron getting a shovel and striking the victim in the left side abdomen area. The victim sustained minor bruising and a laceration. The victim contacted law enforcement, which caused Caron to leave before their arrival.
Caron was located, arrested, and transported to SP Massena for processing. She was released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Lawrence Court for a later date in July.
