Troop K CSU Makes Narcotics Arrest Following Poughkeepsie Traffic Stop

On July 30, 2025, at approximately 1:18 p.m., members of the New York State Police Troop K Community Stabilization Unit (CSU) conducted a traffic stop on a 2021 Jeep near Main Street in the City of Poughkeepsie for multiple violations of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law.

The driver was identified as Julio C. Tejada, 41, of Manhattan, NY. Two passengers were also present: Cedric Thomas, 59, of Manhattan, NY, and Robert Ravetti, 39, of Poughkeepsie, NY.

A probable cause search of the vehicle led to the discovery of approximately 40.6 grams of crack cocaine, packaged in a manner consistent with distribution.

All three individuals were arrested and charged with:

•    Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree (Class B Felony)

•    Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree with Intent to Sell (Class B Felony)

Tejada and Thomas were remanded to Dutchess County Jail. Ravetti was released on his own recognizance.

A preliminary hearing is set for August 5,2025 at 09:00a.m.

The investigation remains ongoing.
