The operator of the vehicle was identified as Kasein Deleston, 52, of Brooklyn, New York.
State Police K-9 Vinn conducted an exterior scan of the vehicle, which resulted in a positive alert for the presence of narcotics. A subsequent search led to the discovery of a hidden compartment containing approximately 162.6 grams of cocaine.
As a result of the investigation, Deleston was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the second degree, a class A-II felony, and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree with intent to sell, a class B felony.
Deleston was arraigned in the East Fishkill Town Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Justice and Transition Center. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for December 5, 2025, at 2 p.m.
