On September 6, 2024, at approximately 11:15 p.m., New York State Police at Margaretville arrested Scott Gray, age 53 of Fleischmanns, NY for the misdemeanor of Driving While Intoxicated. Troopers were dispatched to a report of a one vehicle crash into a tree on Lake Street in Fleischmanns. The Troopers discovered that Gray left the scene. With the assistance of a Delaware County Sheriff’s K9, Gray was located hiding underneath a leaf pile behind a residence. A Trooper observed impairment, and after an investigation Gray was arrested. He issued appearance tickets to the Middletown Court on October 1, 2024 and processed at a later date.
On September 7, 2024, at approximately 12:40 a.m., New York State Police at Homer (Interstate) arrested Raymond N. Brozek, age 42 of South Otselic, NY for the class “D” felony of Driving While Intoxicated (with two previous convictions within 10 years). A Trooper on Church Street in the city of Cortland observed vehicle and traffic violations and initiated a traffic stop. While interviewing Brozek, the Trooper observed characteristics commonly associated with impairment. After performing Standardized Field Sobriety Tests poorly, Brozek was arrested. He was issued appearance tickets to the Cortland City Court on September 16, 2024.
On September 7, 2024, at approximately 4:13 p.m., New York State Police at Oneonta arrested Nicholas J. Chicorelli, age 30 of Morris, NY for the misdemeanor of Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs. Troopers were dispatched by the Otsego County 911 Center for a report of a vehicle that hit a telephone pole on County Route 7 in Otego. While interviewing Chicorelli about what happened, a Trooper detected impairment. Chicorelli was asked to perform Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, which confirmed impairment. He was arrested and transported to SP Oneonta for an additional evaluation by a New York State Police Drug Recognition Expert. Chicorelli was processed and issued appearance tickets to the Otsego Town Court pm September 19, 2024.
On September 7, 2024, at approximately 7:11 p.m., New York State Police at Richfield Springs arrested Scott Y. Yager, age 42 of Canajoharie, NY for the class “E” felonies of Driving While Intoxicated (with a previous conviction within 10 years) and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the first degree and the misdemeanor of Criminal Impersonation in the second degree. Troopers were dispatched to a report of a disabled vehicle on State Highway 166 in Roseboom. Troopers located the described vehicle and Yager attempting to change a tire. Troopers learned that Yager was driving the vehicle and he appeared impaired. Yager initially provided Troopers with a different first name when he was arrested and was additionally charged with Criminal Impersonation, which additionally revealed that he had a previous conviction for DWI. Yager was processed and taken to the Otsego County Correctional Facility for Centralized Arraignment.
On September 7, 2024, at approximately 7:59 p.m., New York State Police at Sidney arrested Lola L. While interviewing Luscomb, the Trooper observed characteristics associated with impairment. After performing Standardized Field Sobriety Tests poorly, Luscomb was arrested. She was also found in possession of illicit substances. Luscomb was transported to SP Sidney where she was additionally evaluated by a New York State Police Drug Recognition Expert. She was processed and issued appearance tickets to the Unadilla Town Court on October 22, 2024, then turned over to a sober third party.
On September 7, 2024, at approximately 10:43 p.m., New York State Police at Homer arrested Joel Dougherty, age 21 of Candor, NY for the misdemeanor of Driving While Intoxicated. Dougherty entered a DWI Sobriety Checkpoint just off Interstate 81 exit 12 connector. A Trooper observed characteristics associated with impairment. After performing Standardized Field Sobriety Tests poorly, he was arrested. Dougherty was transported to SP Homer where his reportable B.A.C was .12%. He was processed and issued appearance tickets to the Cortlandville Town Court on October 7, 2024.
On September 8, 2024, at approximately 6:49 p.m., New York State Police at Margaretville arrested Walter D. Damato, age 63 of Amityville, NY for the misdemeanor of Driving While Intoxicated. Troopers were dispatched by the Delaware County 911 Center to a report of an ATV rollover on Tupper Hill Road in Franklin. An investigation revealed that two people were on an ATV when they crashed and put the ATV on its side. The investigation revealed that Damato was operating the ATV and was impaired. A passenger, a 60-year-old woman of Amityville, NY and transported to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Damato was asked to perform Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, which were indicative of impairment. Damato was arrested and transported to SP Oneonta. He was processed and issued appearance tickets to the Oneonta Town Court on October 9, 2024.
On September 9, 2024, at approximately 11:34 p.m., New York State Police at Owego arrested Sandra R. Benjamin, age 41 of Freeville, NY for the class “E” felonies of Driving While Intoxicated (with a previous conviction within 10 years) and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the first degree. Troopers on Pickney Road in Dryden observed a vehicle stopped in the roadway and went to check on the driver. While interviewing Benjamin, a Trooper observed characteristics associated with impairment. After performing Standardized Field Sobriety Tests poorly, Benjamin was arrested. She was processed at SP Ithaca and issued appearance tickets to the Dryden Town Court on October 16, 2024.
On September 10, 2024, at approximately 2:48 a.m., New York State Police at Sidney arrested Angela M. Yager, age 28 of Binghamton, NY for the class “E” felony of Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the first degree and the misdemeanor of Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs. Troopers on County Road 39 in Bainbridge observed a motorcycle with vehicle and traffic violations and initiated a traffic stop. Troopers observed characteristics associated with impairment. After performing Standardized Field Sobriety Tests poorly, Yager was arrested. She was transported to SP Sidney where she was additionally evaluated by a New York State Police Drug Recognition Expert. She was processed and issued appearance tickets to the Bainbridge Town Court on October 1, 2024.
On September 10, 2024, at approximately 9:13 p.m., New York State Police at Ithaca arrested Joel B. Teitelbaum, age 29 of Lansing, NY for the misdemeanor of Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated. A Trooper initiated a traffic stop on another (uninvolved) vehicle that pulled in a parking spot at Mirabito on Peruville Road in Lansing. While that operator was being interviewed, a vehicle that was parked in the next parking stall began to back up when the operator failed to observe the Trooper’s patrol vehicle with its emergency lights activated and struck the patrol vehicle. While interviewing that operator that struck the patrol car, the Trooper smelled an odor of an alcoholic beverage. The driver was identified as Teitelbaum and was asked to perform Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, which indicated impairment. Teitelbaum was arrested and transported to SP Ithaca where his reportable B.A.C was .27%. He was processed and issued appearance tickets to the Lansing Town Court on November 5, 2024, and turned over to a sober third party.
On September 12, 2024, at approximately 6:48 a.m., New York State Police at Sidney arrested Sam L. Anderson, age 50 of Norwich, NY for the misdemeanor of Driving While Ability Impaired. A Trooper was dispatched to a one vehicle crash on State Route 8 in Mount Upton. While interviewing Anderson, the Trooper observed characteristics of impairment. Anderson was asked to perform Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, which indicated impairment. He was arrested and transported to SP Sidney where he was additionally evaluated by a New York State Police Drug Recognition Expert. Anderson was processed and issued appearance tickets to the Guilford Town Court on October 22, 2024, then turned over to a sober third party.

A Trooper was dispatched to a single vehicle crash on Mountain View Drive in Windsor. While interviewing Paulachock, the Trooper smelled an odor of an alcoholic beverage. Paulachock performed Standardized Field Sobriety Tests poorly and was arrested. He was processed at SP Deposit then turned over to the Broome County Jail for Centralized Arraignment.
On September 14, 2024, at approximately 2:35 a.m., New York State Police at Oneonta arrested Cameron P. Hosier, age 35 of Oneonta, NY for the misdemeanor of Driving While Intoxicated. Troopers observed a vehicle make multiple vehicle and traffic infractions and initiated a traffic stop on State Highway 23 in Oneonta. While interviewing Hosier, a Trooper smelled an odor of an alcoholic beverage. Hosier was asked to perform Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, which confirmed impairment. Hosier was transported to SP Oneonta where his reportable B.A.C was .15%. He was processed and issued appearance tickets to the Oneonta Town Court on October 17, 2024 then turned over to a sober third party.
On September 14, 2024, at approximately 5:17 p.m., New York State Police at Oneonta arrested Dale R. Thompson, age 36 of Sherburne, NY for the misdemeanor of Driving While Intoxicated. A Trooper was dispatched by the Otsego County 911 Center to a one vehicle crash on State Highway 7 in Otego. When the Trooper arrived, he smelled an odor of an alcoholic beverage and other characteristics associated with impairment. Thompson was transported by ambulance to A.O. Fox Hospital to be checked out for injuries he sustained in the crash. After he was released from the hospital, Thompson was transported to SP Oneonta where his reportable B.A.C was .10%. Thompson was processed and issued appearance tickets to the Otego Town Court on October 17, 2024, and released to a sober third party.
On September 16, 2024, at approximately 1:16 a.m., New York State Police at Sidney arrested Peter J. Bartolillo, age 35 of Sidney, NY for the misdemeanor of Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs. Troopers observed a vehicle failing to maintain a lane and initiated a traffic stop on Main Street in Sidney. While interviewing Bartolillo, Troopers observed characteristics associated with impairment. After performing Standardized Field Sobriety Tests poorly, Bartolillo was arrested. He was transported to SP Sidney, processed and issued appearance tickets to the Sidney Village Court on October 22, 2024.
On September 17, 2024, at approximately 9:45 p.m., New York State Police at Ithaca arrested Yiheng Gai, age 23 of Ithaca, NY for the misdemeanor of Driving While Intoxicated. A Trooper observed a vehicle speeding while on State Route 13 and initiated a traffic stop. While interviewing Gai, the Trooper smelled an odor of an alcoholic beverage. Gai was asked to perform Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, which confirmed impairment. Gai was transported to SP Ithaca where his reportable B.A.C was .10%. He was processed and issued appearance tickets to the Cayuga Heights Village Court on October 29, 2024 and turned over to a sober third party.
On September 18, 2024, at approximately 5:55 p.m., New York State Police at Binghamton arrested George N. Tirpok, age 63 of Saylorsburg, PA for the misdemeanor of Driving While Intoxicated. A Trooper was dispatched to a one vehicle crash on Page Brook Road in Triangle. When the Trooper arrived, he discovered that the vehicle failed to negotiate a turn and went off the roadway then into a ditch about 30 feet off the road. After an investigation, Tirpok was arrested. He was issued appearance tickets to the Triangle Town Court on October 21, 2024.
On September 18, 2024, at approximately 8:21 p.m., New York State Police arrested a male who is identified by the name of Shekhar, age 29 of Middletown, NY for the misdemeanor of Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs. Troopers initiated a traffic stop on State Highway 206 in Masonville after observing a vehicle failing to maintain a lane. Troopers observed characteristics associated with impairment. After performing Standardized Field Sobriety Tests poorly, Shekhar was arrested. He was transported to SP Sidney and issued appearance tickets to the Masonville Town Court on October 15, 2024, then released to a sober third party.

Troopers additionally located suspected illicit drugs. Reynolds was transported to SP Sidney where he was additionally evaluated by a New York State Police Drug Recognition Expert. Reynolds was processed and transported to the Delaware County Jail for Centralized Arraignment where he was released on his own recognizance by a judge.
