Traffic Stop Leads to Seizure of Cocaine, Fentanyl, and Drug Paraphernalia in Ulster County

On April 3, 2025, at approximately 9:08 p.m., members of the New York State Police Troop F Community Stabilization Unit (CSU) conducted a traffic stop on a 2024 Buick traveling northbound on the New York State Thruway in the town of Lloyd for multiple violations of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law.

During the stop, troopers interviewed the operator and sole occupant of the vehicle, identified as Teddy Pulliam, age 57, of Schenectady, NY. State Police K9 Kell conducted an exterior search of the vehicle and alerted to the presence of illegal narcotics.

A subsequent search of the vehicle led to the discovery of:

  • Over 800 grams of cocaine
  • One gram of fentanyl
  • A digital scale
  • Packaging materials
  • More than $1,900 in U.S. currency

Pulliam was taken into custody and transported to State Police Highland for processing. He was charged with the following:

  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 1st Degree Class A Felony
  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree Class B Felony
  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree Class A Misdemeanor
  • Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd Degree – Packaging Class A Misdemeanor
  • Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd Degree – Scales Class A Misdemeanor
  • Multiple violations of the Vehicle and Traffic Law

Pulliam was arraigned in the Town of Lloyd Court Centralized Arraignment Part and remanded to Ulster County Jail.

This investigation remains ongoing.
