On August 6, 2024, at 1:27 A.M., Troopers out of SP Batavia responded to a tractor trailer into a house collision on Drake Street in the village of Oakfield. Investigation determined that a 2012 Western Star tractor trailer traveling west bound on Drake Street. The operator, David P. Baughman, 61 of North Tonawanda, NY fell asleep while driving and stuck parked vehicle and an occupied residence at 11 Drake Street. Baughman was transported by ambulance to Batavia Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. No other injuries reported in this incident.
Baughman was issued vehicle and traffic tickets.
