

The New York State Police in Cortlandt have arrested three Connecticut residents in connection with an organized retail theft operation targeting Kohl’s stores in the region.
On March 13, 2025, Troopers responded to a report of three individuals concealing merchandise at the Kohl’s store in Cortlandt Manor, NY. Upon attempting to leave the store with stolen items valued at $6,152.88, the suspects were apprehended by Troopers with assistance from the Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI).
The individuals, identified as Tyeisha R. Bridges, 32, of Hartford, CT; Shatoya A. Lewis, 25, of Hartford, CT; and Eve G. Mitto, 23, of Windsor, CT, were each charged with:
Grand Larceny in the 3rd Degree (Class D Felony)
Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 3rd Degree (Class D Felony)
Further investigation linked the suspects to a separate theft at the Kohl’s store in Bedford, NY, where they allegedly stole merchandise valued at $10,020.21.
The suspects were arraigned on March 13, 2025, and released on their own recognizance. They were subsequently turned over to the Town of Bedford Police Department for further investigation.
Investigators believe the individuals are part of an organized retail theft group targeting Kohl’s locations across the Tri-State Area.
