State Police in Troop G make notable DWI arrests 7/11- 7/18

On July 11, 2025, at about 8:08 p.m. State Police of Mayfield stopped a vehicle on State Route 29 of Mayfield, NY for a Vehicle and Traffic Law. The driver was identified as Betsy J. Hubbard, 46 of Camillus, NY. Hubbard was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. She was transported to SP Mayfield for processing where she recorded a 0.19% BAC.  Hubbard was issued tickets returnable to the Mayfield Town Court on August 5, 2025, and release to a sober third party. 

On July 12, 2025, at about 4:25 p.m. State Police assigned to the Latham Interstate Patrol responded to the report of a two-car crash on I-90 in Albany, NY. The investigation determined a vehicle being driver westbound by Katherine J. Lee, 38, of Guilderland, NY struck the rear of another westbound vehicle causing it to lose control and spin out. No injuries were reported as a result of the crash. Lee was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. She was transported to SP Latham for processing where she recorded a 0.20% BAC. Lee was issued tickets returnable to the Albany City Court on July 25, 2025, and released.

On July 12, 2025, at about 8:05 p.m. State Police of Saratoga responded to the report of a disturbance at a home on State Route 50 in Ballston, NY. During the investigation it was determined Alissa Stefanini, 38 of Ballston, NY had driven to the home just prior to the disturbance. Stefanini was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the first degree and transported to SP Saratoga for processing where she recorded a 0.20% BAC.  Stefanini was issued ticket returnable to the Ballston Town Court on August 5, 2025, and released. No further charges were filed as a result of the disturbance investigation.

On July 12, 2025, at about 8:20 p.m. State Police of Sand Lake attempted to stop a vehicle on Robin Street in Albany, NY for a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation. The driver later identified as Jason A. Twiss, 37 of Schodack Landing, NY initially failed to comply but stopped a short distance away on Elk Street in Albany, NY where Twiss was taken into custody. He was charged with Unlawfully Fleeing a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle, Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. Twiss was transported to SP Guilderland for processing where he recorded a 0.12% BAC. Further investigation discovered that Twiss has had a previous DWI conviction in the last ten years. Twiss was issued tickets returnable to the Albany City Court on August 12, 2025, and released to a sober third party.

On July 13, 2025, at about 10:04 p.m. State Police assigned to the Latham Interstate Patrol responded to I-90 in Albany, NY for the reports of a wrong way driver that had struck a concrete barrier. The driver was identified as Steven M. Seager, 44 of Groton, NY. Seager was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. He was transported to SP Latham for processing where he recorded a 0.26% BAC. Seager was issued tickets returnable to the Albany City Court on August 4, 2025, and released to a sober third party.  No other vehicle was damaged during the incident. 

On July 15, 2025, at about 8:10 p.m. State Police of Brunswick responded to the reports of an erratic vehicle striking a guiderail on State Route 2 in Brunswick, NY. Troopers located a vehicle matching the caller’s description and stopped it in the area of State Route 2. The driver was identified as Maximiliano Bautista Vasquez, 35 of Albany, NY. Bautista Vasquez was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. He was transported to SP Brunswick for processing where he recorded a 0.22% BAC.  Bautista Vasquez was issued tickets returnable to the Brunswick Town Court on July 30, 2025, and released.

On July 15, 2025, at about 8:50 p.m. State Police of Schodack stopped a vehicle on State Route 20 in Schodack, NY for a Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. The driver was identified as Nicole L. Hebert, 35 of Cohoes, NY. Herbert was arrested for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the first degree and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. Further investigation discovered felony weight narcotics within the vehicle and Hebert was additionally charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the fifth degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the seventh degree. She was transported to SP Schodack for processing where she refused to be evaluated by a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) and a sample was collected to determine the drug content of her blood. It was also determined Hebert has had a previous DWI conviction in the last ten years. She was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Schodack Town Court on August 13, 2025, and released.

On July 16, 2025, at about 10:02 p.m. State Police of Queensbury stopped a vehicle on I-87 in Wilton, NY for a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation. The driver was identified as Daniel J. Mcclintock, 26, of Clifton Park, NY. Mcclintock was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. He was transported to SP Wilton for processing where he recorded a 0.22% BAC.  Mcclintock was issued tickets returnable to the Wilton Town Court on July 22, 2025, and released to a sober third party.

On July 17, 2025, State Police of Queensbury arrested Patti A. Barrett, 56 of Glens Falls, NY for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. On April 5, 2025, at about 6:51 p.m. Troopers responded to the report of a one-car rollover crash into a utility pole on Lower Warren Street in Queensbury, NY.  Barrett was identified as the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle. She was transported to the hospital from the scene by EMS for medical evaluation for injuries sustained during the crash. Blood was collected at the hospital as part of the investigation that later determined she had a 0.24% BAC.  Barrett surrendered herself to SP Queensbury for processing and was released with an appearance ticket returnable to the Queensbury Town Court on August 4, 2025.

On July 17, 2025, at about 10:38 p.m. State Police assigned to the Latham Interstate Patrol responded to a one-car crash into a guiderail on I-787 in Menands, NY. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Alyssa N. Higdon, 35 of Albany, NY. Higdon was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. She was transported to SP Latham for processing where she recorded a 0.18% BAC. Higdon was issued tickets returnable to the Colonie Town Court on August 4, 2025, and released.

On July 18, 2025, at about 4:03 a.m. State Police of Fonda stopped a vehicle in the area of Main Street in Amsterdam, NY for a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation. The driver was identified as Julia R. Viscusi, 23 of Fort Plain, NY. Viscusi was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. She was transported to SP Fonda for processing where she recorded a 0.22% BAC. Viscusi was issued tickets returnable to the Amsterdam City Court on August 21, 2025, and released.
