State Police in Troop G make notable DWI arrests 6/26- 7/7

On July 26, 2025, at about 3:24 a.m. State Police of Cobleskill responded to the area of State Route 30A in Schoharie, NY for the reports of a hit and run crash. Troopers located a vehicle with obvious damages while in route to the call. After observing a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation that vehicle was stopped in the area of State Route 7 and determined to have been involved. The driver was identified as Nicholas L. Reynolds, 26 of Richmondville, NY. Reynolds was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violation. He was transported to SP Cobleskill for processing where he recorded a 0.21% BAC. Reynolds was issued tickets returnable to the Schoharie Town Court on August 4, 2025, and released. 

On June 30, 2025, at about 1:40 p.m. State Police of Wells responded to the reports of a one-car crash into a utility pole on County Road 102 in Mayfield, NY. The driver fled on foot into the woods before law enforcement's arrival. The driver was later located by the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office walking nearby and was identified as Lexi T. Bohringer, 25 of Sloansville, NY. During the investigation Troopers located a glass smoking device in the vehicle containing drug residue. Bohringer was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the seventh degree, Driving While Ability Impaired by the Combined Influence of Drugs or Alcohol and any Drug or Drugs, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the first degree, and multiple other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. She was transported to SP Mayfield for processing where she was evaluated by a drug recognition expert (DRE) and a sample was taken to determine the drug and alcohol content of her blood. Further investigation discovered Bohringer has had a previous DWI conviction in the last ten years. Bohringer was issued tickets returnable to the Mayfield Town Court on July 22, 2025.   

On July 4, 2025, at about 1:51 a.m. State Police of Chestertown stopped a vehicle on Lake Shore Drive in Lake George, NY for a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation. The driver was identified as Erin P. Fleming, 49 of Thurman, NY. Fleming was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. She was transported to SP Queensbury for processing where she recorded a 0.13% BAC. Further investigation discovered Fleming has had multiple previous DWI convictions in the last ten years. Fleming was turned over to the Warren County Correctional Facility to await arraignment. 

On July 4, 2025, at about 6:45 p.m. State Police of Greenwich stopped a vehicle on Maple Avenue in Cambridge, NY for a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation.  The driver was identified as Hudson K. Hartnett, 44 of Johnsonville, NY. Hartnett was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. He was transported to SP Greenwich for processing where he recorded a 0.11% BAC. Further investigation determined Hartnett has had a previous DWI conviction in the last ten years. Hartnett was issued a ticket returnable to the Cambridge Village Court on July 28, 2025, and released to a sober third party. 

On July 4, 2025, at about 9:12 p.m. State Police of Saratoga responded to the report of a vehicle that struck a parked vehicle at the Lake George rest area in Lake George, NY. The driver was identified as Jason A. Warne, 49 of Glens Falls, NY. Warne was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and was transported to SP Queensbury for processing where he recorded a 0.23% BAC. Warne was issued tickets returnable to the Lake George Town Court on July 31, 2025, and released.

On July 4, 2025, at about 11:13 p.m. State Police of Clifton Park responded to the report of an erratic vehicle on I-87 in Colonie, NY. Trooper located the vehicle matching the caller’s description and stopped it after observing multiple Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. The driver was identified as Howard A. Shafer, 80 of Selkirk, NY. Shafer was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. He was transported to SP Latham for processing where he recorded a 0.10% BAC. Further investigation discovered Shafer has had a previous DWI conviction in the last ten years. Shafer was issued tickets returnable to the Colonie Town Court on July 21, 2025, and released to a sober third party. 

On July 4, 2025, at about 11:26 p.m. State Police of Saratoga stopped a vehicle on Union Avenue in Saratoga Springs, NY for a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation. The driver was identified as Kimberly L. Matthews, 28 of Ballston Spa, NY. Matthews was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. She was transported to SP Saratoga for processing where she recorded a 0.15% BAC. Further investigation discovered that Matthews has had multiple previous DWI convictions in the last ten years. Matthews was issued tickets returnable to the Saratoga Springs City Court on July 16, 2025, and released to a sober third party.

On July 4, 2025, at about 11:58 p.m. State Police of Saratoga stopped a vehicle on Kendalls Way in Malta, NY for a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation. The driver was identified as Sebastian K. Herrada, 20 of Chester Springs, PA. Also located in the vehicle was a passenger under the age of 16. Herrada was arrested for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a Child (Leandra’s Law) and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. The child and other passengers were turned over to a family friend.  Herrada was transported to SP Saratoga for processing where he recorded a 0.08% BAC.  Herrada was issued tickets returnable to the Malta Town Court on August 7, 2025, and released to a sober third party.

On July 5, 2025, at about 2:28 a.m. State Police of Princetown stopped a vehicle on Michigan Avenue in Schenectady, NY for a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation. The driver was identified as Gurudat Sankar, 32 of Schenectady, NY. Sankar was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. He was transported to SP Princetown for processing where he recorded a 0.24% BAC.  Sankar was issued tickets returnable to the Schenectady City Court on July 29, 2025, and released to a sober third party.

On July 5, 2025, at about 5:53 p.m. State Police of Saratoga responded to the area of Plains Road in Malta, NY for the reports of a person acting suspiciously who left in a vehicle. Troopers located the vehicle described and stopped it on Dunning Street in Malta, NY for a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation. The driver was identified as Carmela M. Dicicco, 44 of Waterford, NY. Dicicco was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, Bail Jumping in the third degree (due to an active arrest warrant) and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. She was transported to SP Saratoga for processing where she recorded a 0.31% BAC. Further investigation discovered Dicicco has had a previous DWI conviction in the last ten years. Dicicco was then transported to the Malta Town Court where she was arraigned on these charges and additional charges originating with the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office. Dicicco was remanded to the Saratoga County Correctional Facility in lieu of $25,000 cash, $50,000 bond, or $250,000 partially secured bond.

On July 5, 2025, at about 7:49 p.m. State Police of Sand Lake stopped a vehicle on East Schodack Road in Schodack, NY for a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation. The driver was identified as Kenneth J. Loeper, 60 of Castleton on Hudson, NY, and a child under the age of 16 was located in the vehicle. Loeper was arrested for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a Child (Leandra’s Law), Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. The child was turned over to a family member. Loeper was transported to SP Schodack for processing, where he was evaluated by a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) and a sample was collected to determine the drug content of his blood. Loeper was issued tickets returnable to the Schodack Town Court on August 18, 2025, and released to a sober party.

On July 6, 2025, at about 4:00 p.m. State Police assigned to the Latham Interstate Patrol responded to the report of an erratic vehicle southbound on I-87 in Clifton Park, NY.  Troopers located the vehicle matching the caller’s description, stopped in a parking lot off Albany Shaker Road in Colonie, NY.  The driver was identified as Wendell Feliciano, 45 of Ballston Spa, NY who was witnessed by Troopers standing outside his vehicle urinating in view of the public.  Feliciano was arrested for Public Lewdness, Driving While Intoxicated, and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations.  He was transported to SP Latham for processing where he recorded a 0.32% BAC.  Feliciano was issued tickets returnable to the Colonie Town Court on July 30, 2025, and released to a sober third party.
