State Police in Troop G make notable DWI arrests 5/22-5/25

On May 22, 2026, at about 9:30 p.m. a vehicle being driven by Alexis T. Riffelbach, 28, of Clifton Park, NY entered a Sobriety Check Point being conducted on State Route 9 in Malta. Riffelbach was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and transported to SP Saratoga for processing where she recorded a 0.14% BAC. Further investigation discovered Riffelbach has had a previous DWI conviction in the last ten years. Riffelbach was issued tickets returnable to the Malta Town Court on May 28, 2026, and released to a sober third party.  

On May 23, 2026, at about 1:35 a.m. State Police of New Scotland stopped a vehicle on Central Avenue in Albany for vehicle and traffic law violations. The driver was identified as Shakier R. Blunt, 38, of Albany, NY. Blunt was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st, and other vehicle and traffic law violations. He was transported to SP Latham for processing where he recorded a 0.14% BAC. Further investigation discovered Blunt has had a previous DWI conviction in the last ten years. Blunt was issued tickets returnable to the Albany City Court on June 8, 2026, and released to a sober third party. 

On May 23, 2026, at about 4:03 p.m. State Police assigned to the Latham Interstate Patrol stopped a vehicle on Clinton Avenue in Albany for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The driver was identified as Khalif L. Crawford, 33, of Schenectady, NY. Crawford was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other vehicle and traffic law violations. He was transported to SP Latham for processing where he recorded a 0.12 % BAC. Further investigation determined that Crawford has had a previous DWI conviction in the last ten years. Crawford was issued tickets returnable to the Albany City Court on June 19, 2026, and was released to a sober third party.
