

On May 3, 2025, at about 11:30 p.m. State Police of Saratoga stopped a vehicle on State Route 9 in Saratoga Springs, NY for a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation. The driver was identified as Ganna Povysheva, 41 of Halfmoon, NY. Povysheva was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. She was transported to SP Saratoga for processing where she recorded a 0.18% BAC. Povysheva was issued tickets returnable to the Saratoga Springs City Court on June 5, 2025, and released.
On May 3, 2025, at about 9:40 p.m. State Police of New Scotland responded to the reports of a one-car crash off the roadway into multiple utility poles on New Scotland Road in New Scotland, NY. The uninjured driver was identified as Kya Flagler, 25 of Delmar, NY. Also located in the vehicle were two uninjured children under the age of 15. Flagler was arrested for Aggravated Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs with a Child (Leandra’s Law), two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. While in custody Flagler was found to possess controlled substances and allegedly attempted to destroy and conceal them. She was additionally charged with Tampering with Physical Evidence, two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the seventh degree, and Public Health Law violations. Flagler was evaluated by a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) and processed at SP New Scotland where a sample was taken to determine the drug content of her blood. Flagler was then arraigned at the New Scotland Town Court where she was released on her own recognizance.
