On February 5, 2025, at about 9:00 p.m., State Police of Saratoga responded to the area of State Route 9 in Malta, NY, for the reports of a vehicle off the roadway. The vehicle was located unoccupied. The driver was located walking nearby and identified as Peter C. Sacco, 44, of Ballston Spa, NY. Sacco was arrested for Driving While intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. He was transported to SP Saratoga for processing, where he recorded a 0.23% BAC. Sacco was issued tickets returnable to the Malta Town Court on February 20, 2025, and released.
On February 6, 2025, at about 12:19 p.m., State Police of Brunswick observed a vehicle stopped in the lane of travel of I-787 in Albany, NY. Troopers approached the vehicle and identified the driver as Gregory T. Dilorenzo, 35, of Waterford, NY. Dilorenzo was arrested for Driving While Ability impaired by drugs and another Vehicle and Traffic Law violation. While taking him into custody, Dilorenzo was found to possess a controlled substance, which was seized. He was transported to SP Brunswick for processing, where he was evaluated by a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) and refused to provide a blood sample to determine the drug content of his blood. Further investigation discovered Dilorenzo had had multiple previous DWI convictions within the last ten years and did not possess a valid driver's license. He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Albany City Court on February 29, 2025, and released to a sober party.
On February 7, 2025, at about 12:37 a.m. State Police of Saratoga stopped a vehicle on State Route 9 in Saratoga Spring, NY, for a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation. The driver was identified as Peter J. Kubesh, 41, of Newport News, VA. Kubesh was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. He was transported to SP Saratoga for processing, where he recorded a 0.18% BAC. Kubesh was issued tickets returnable to the Saratoga Springs City Court on March 11, 2025, and released to a sober third party.
On February 8, 2025, at about 3:09 p.m., State Police of Wilton responded to the reports of a one-car crash into a snowbank in the area of Saratoga Road in Moreau, NY. The uninjured driver was located nearby and identified as Miranda J. Bernholz, 33, of Gansevoort, NY. Bernholz was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and transported to SP Wilton for processing, where she recorded a 0.26% BAC. She was issued tickets returnable to the Moreau Town Court on February 26, 2025, and released to a sober party.
On February 8, 2025, at about 11:03 a.m. State Police of Clifton Park responded to the reports of a one-car crash off the roadway in the area of Grooms Road in Clifton Park, NY. The uninjured driver was identified as Crystal J. Lynch, 43, of Albany, NY. Lynch was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. She was transported to SP Clifton Park for processing, where she recorded a 0.20% BAC. Lynch was issued a ticket returnable to the Clifton Park Town Court on March 5, 2025, and released to a sober third party.
On February 10, 2025, at about 5:37 p.m., State Police of Granville responded to the reports of a disabled vehicle in the median of I-87 in Queensbury, NY. The driver was identified as David M. Randall, 42, of Troy, NY. Randall was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. He was transported to SP Queensbury for processing, where he refused to provide a sample to determine the alcohol content of his blood. Further investigation discovered Randall has had a previous DWI conviction in the last ten years. He was issued tickets returnable to the Queensbury Town Court on March 3, 2025, and released to a sober third party.
On February 11, 2025, at about 3:05 p.m., State Police of Clifton Park responded to the reports of a two-car crash at the intersection of Schauber Road and Hubbs Road in Clifton Park, NY. One of the drivers was identified as Erika L. Vonie, 37, of Ballston Lake, NY. Vonie was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. She was transported to SP Clifton Park for processing, where she recorded a 0.34%BAC. Vonie was issued tickets returnable to the Clifton Park Town Court on February 26, 2025, and released. No injuries were reported as a result of this crash.
