State Police in Troop G make notable DWI arrests 1/26- 2/8

On January 26, 2024, at about 12:27 a.m. State Police assigned to the Latham Interstate Patrol stopped a vehicle on Broadway in Watervliet, NY, for a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation. The driver was identified as Ralph A. Razzano, 50, of Green Island, NY.  Razzano was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. He was transported to SP Latham for processing, where he recorded a 0.19% BAC.  Razzano was issued tickets returnable to the Watervliet City Court on February 20, 2024, and released to a sober third party.

On January 29, 2024, at about 6:03 p.m., State Police of Princetown responded to the report of a one-car rollover crash on State Route 20 in Duanesburg, NY.  The driver was identified as Nikolaus J. Zirbes, 22, of Esperance, NY.  Zirbes was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations.  He was transported to SP Princetown, where he recorded a 0.21% BAC.  He was issued tickets returnable to the Duanesburg Town Court on February 28, 2024, and released to a sober third party.

On January 30, 2024, at about 1:05 a.m. State Police of Clifton Park assisted the Waterford Police Department with the report of a disturbance in a vehicle on State Route 146 in Clifton Park, NY. On arrival, the driver was identified as Faith A. Gregory, 44, of Schenectady, NY. The investigation determined Gregory was in a physical altercation with a passenger within her vehicle, resulting in her stopping her vehicle in the lane of travel.  Gregory was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and transported to SP Clifton Park for processing, where she recorded a 0.14% BAC. Further investigation discovered Gregory has had a previous DWI conviction within the last ten years. She was issued tickets returnable to the Clifton Park Town Court on February 21, 2024, and released.

On January 30, 2024, at about 9:52 p.m., State Police assigned to the Northway Interstate Patrol responded to the reports of an erratic vehicle southbound on I-87 in Malta, NY. Troopers patrolled the area, located a vehicle matching the caller’s description, and stopped it on I-87 in Halfmoon, NY. The driver was identified as Zachary T. Wright, 42, of Malta, NY.  Wright was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. He was transported to SP Northway for processing, where he recorded a 0.18% BAC.  Wright was issued tickets returnable to the Halfmoon Town Court on February 14, 2024, and released.

On February 1, 2024, at about 11:56 a.m. State Police of Wilton responded to the area of Exit 16 on I-87 in Wilton, NY, for the reports of a vehicle off the roadway. The driver was identified as Laura R. Reyna, 52, of Wilton, NY.  Reyna was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. She was transported to SP Wilton for processing, where she recorded a 0.24% BAC.  Reyna was issued tickets returnable to the Wilton Town Court on February 20, 2024, and released to a sober third party.

On February 2, 2024, at about 9:17 p.m., State Police assigned to the Northway Interstate Patrol stopped a vehicle on Ballard Road in Wilton, NY, after observing Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. The driver was identified as Samantha M. Packard, 34, of Warrensburg, NY. A child under the age of 16 was also located inside the vehicle and turned over to a family member.  Packard was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated with a Child (Leandra’s Law), Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and other vehicle and traffic Law violations.  Packard was uncooperative throughout the investigation. She was transported to SP Wilton for processing, where she refused to provide a sample to determine the alcohol content of her blood.  Packard was arraigned at the Milton Town Court, where she was released on her own recognizance.  Packard is due back in the Wilton Town Court on February 13, 2024.

On February 4, 2024, at about 12:58 a.m. State Police of Princetown, NY, responded to I-890 in Rotterdam, NY, for the reports of a disabled vehicle. The driver of the disabled vehicle was identified as Devin J. Walls, 45, of Amsterdam, NY. Two children under the age of 16 were located in the vehicle and turned over to a family member.  Walls was arrested for two counts of Driving While Intoxicated with a Child, two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. He was transported to SP Princetown for processing, where he recorded a 0.15% BAC.  Walls was issued tickets returnable to the Rotterdam Town Court on February 26, 2024, and released to a sober third party.

On February 5, 2024, at about 9:04 p.m., State Police assigned to the Northway Interstate Patrol stopped a vehicle on I-87 in Queensbury, NY for a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation. The driver was identified as John J. Farrell III, 51, of Queensbury, NY. A child under the age of 16 was also located in the vehicle and turned over to a family member.  Farrell III was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated with a Child, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. He was transported to SP Queensbury for processing, where he recorded a 0.14% BAC.  Farrell III was issued tickets returnable to the Queensbury Town Court on February 12, 2024, and released to a sober third party.
