State Police Investigating Two-Vehicle Crash Involving Trooper in Herkimer

On May 2, 2025, at approximately 11:17 a.m., a vehicle collision occurred between a New York State Police vehicle and a passenger car.  The incident occurred on State Route 5 at Eatonville Road in the Town of Herkimer, Herkimer County.

A State Trooper and the driver of the passenger car were both transported to Wynn Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  The cause of the crash is currently under investigation by the New York State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit.
