Mount Hope, NY
On May 15, 2025, at approximately 6:10 p.m., the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) at State Police Greenville responded to a motor vehicle collision on Mount Hope Road, in the area of Tally Ho Road, in the Town of Mount Hope, Orange County.
The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2006 Harley Davidson, operated by Jason Weissenger, age 42, of Port Jervis NY was operating eastbound on Mount Hope Road when he crossed into the westbound lanes and struck a 2008 Ford F350 being operated by a 36-year-old male of Otisville, NY. Weissenger was transported to Garnet Health Medical Center in the town of Wallkill where he was pronounced deceased. The 36-year-old male was uninjured in the accident.
