On November 4, 2024, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation notified the State Police that it received an emailed bomb threat targeting the DEC Region 3 office in New Paltz, NY.
Troopers conducted a thorough search of the building and did not find any explosive devices. The investigation into the threat is ongoing.
