On June 8, 2024, at about 8:43 a.m., State Police in Remsen responded to a one-vehicle roll-over crash that occurred on Moose River Road in the town of Forestport.
A 2012 Mazda 5, operated by Melody C. Stanford, age 59, from Port Leyden, NY was traveling west on Moose River Road when she left her lane of travel, drove off the southern shoulder of the roadway and struck a tree. The vehicle then spun, rolled over, and came to rest on the roadway.
Stanford was transported to Wynn Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Stanford was issued a traffic ticket for Unsafe Speed.
