State Police investigate a fatal pedestrian-train collision in Cobleskill

On February 11, 2024, State Police of Cobleskill responded to the report of a train striking a pedestrian in the area of Everett Street in Cobleskill, NY. 

On February 11, 2024, at about 1:53 a.m.  Troopers responded to the area of Everett Street in Cobleskill, NY, for the report of a pedestrian struck by a passing train.  The investigation has determined Bruce B. Bidwell, 52, of Gansevoort, NY, was in the area of the tracks when he was struck by a passing train and severely injured.  The train immediately stopped following the incident and contacted emergency services, but Bidwell succumbed to his injuries on the scene.   

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
