On July 16, 2024, State Police of Cobleskill responded to the area of State Route 145 in Middleburgh, NY, for the reports of a collision.
On July 16, 2024, at about 1:42 p.m., Troopers responded to State Route 145 in Middleburgh, NY, for the reports of a head-on collision with serious injuries. The investigation determined Beverly R. Conto, 70, of Fultonham, NY, was traveling southbound when she entered the opposite lane of travel and struck a northbound commercial vehicle. Conto sadly succumbed to her injuries at the scene. The commercial vehicle driver sustained minor injuries and has been entirely cooperative with the investigation.
State Route 145 was closed in the area for approximately four hours for the investigation which is ongoing.
