On June 20, 2024, State Police responded to a report of a single motorcycle crash near the I-787 and I-90 interchange in Albany, NY.
On June 20, 2024, at about 5:08 p.m., Troopers responded to exit five off-ramp to I-90 westbound from I-787 northbound in Albany, NY. The investigation determined a motorcycle being operated by Michael F. Furch, 34, of Guilderland, NY, was exiting I-787 on the off-ramp when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a concrete barrier. Furch was ejected from the motorcycle and landed on the shoulder of I-787 northbound below the off-ramp. Furch sadly succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
