On March 18, 2026, New York State Police charged Karrie L. Haverstock, age 60, of Brushton, Franklin County, with Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
On November 21, 2025, at approximately 3:45 p.m., State Police were notified of an incident involving a teacher at Salmon River Central School.
Following an investigation, it was determined that Haverstock, a teacher at the school, allegedly mistreated a student on or around May 16, 2025.
The case was presented to the Franklin County District Attorney’s Office, which reviewed the investigation and authorized the charge.
Haverstock was processed at SP Malone and released on an appearance ticket, returnable to the Town of Fort Covington Court at a later date in March.
