State Police arrested two people for Grand Larceny and Conspiracy

New York State Police announce the arrest of Gordon Healy, age 52 from the town of Wallkill and Lynn Simpson, age 40 from the city of Middletown for Grand larceny 3rd degree (felony) and Conspiracy 5th degree (misdemeanor).

State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) were notified in September 2023 about a possible larceny from the Washington Heights Volunteer Fire Company in the city of Middletown. An investigation revealed that over several month, numerous unauthorized transactions from the Department’s account were withdrawn totaling over of $17,500. A detailed investigation into the account revealed that Simpson, the financial secretary, and Healey, the Vice President of the Volunteer Fire Company, removed the funds from the account.

Healy and Simpson were arrested on December 12, 2023, at the New York State Police barracks in Middletown. They were both arraigned in the Town of Chester Court in front of Judge Haislip where they were released on their own Recognizance with a return date to appear in the Town of Wallkill Court.
