On May 17, 2024, at approximately 1:06 P.M., Troopers out of SP Hastings responded to 46 Pinnacle Road, town of West Monroe for a robbery. A preliminary investigation revealed that a male, later identified as Michael J. Burke, age 35 from West Monroe allegedly threatened a shovel and then a machete to a victim who was outside. Burke allegedly took the victim's wallet and ran away. No injuries were reported by the victim. Burke was arrested for Robbery-1st Class B Felony and arraigned at Oswego County CAP court and held without bail.
