State Police arrested a Bronx man for Grand Larceny

The New York State Police at SP Middletown announce the arrest of Tairon Pressley, age 35 of the Bronx, NY after an investigation into a highly organized retail theft of cellular phones.  Pressley is accused of using stolen account information from cellular customers to steal Apple and Samsung smart phones from the Middletown Wal Mart located on State Route 211 on several dates in February and March of 2024.  Pressley is accused of stealing over $33,000 worth of phones. He was apprehended by members of the State Police working in conjunction with Wal Mart loss prevention targeting organized retail crimes.  He was charged with Grand Larceny 3rd Degree and Falsifying Business Records 1st Degree, both felonies.   He was arraigned in the Town of Mount Hope Court and released on his own recognizance.  Pressley is scheduled to reappear in the Town of Wallkill Court on March 20, 2024.
