State Police arrest Warwick woman for DWI with children in the vehicle

On July 10, 2025, at approximately 5:23 p.m., Troopers from SP Tarrytown were dispatched to Interstate 87 in Yonkers for a report of a two-car accident and a physical altercation between both operators.

An investigation determined that a Volkswagon Atlas, driven by Kaitlyn Slicker-Abulteen, 35, of Warwick, was traveling southbound in the right lane on Interstate 87 when she was involved in a motor vehicle collision. Prior to Troopers arrival, a physical altercation took place.

While being interviewed by Troopers, Slicker-Abulteen exhibited signs of intoxication and Standardized Field Sobriety tests were administered, which she failed.

Further investigation revealed that two children were present in the vehicle with Slicker-Abulteen.

Slicker-Abulteen was arrested and transported to SP Tarrytown for processing, then transported to SP Hawthorn where she provided a breath sample with a BAC 0.14%.

Slicker-Abulteen was charged with the following:

•              Harassment 2nd Degree

•              Aggravated DWI (Leandra’s Law) – Class E Felony

•              Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) – First Offense

•              Operating a Motor Vehicle with a BAC of 0.08% or Higher – First Offense

Slicker-Abulteen was issued tickets returnable to Yonkers City Court on July 30, 2025, and was released to a sober third party. City of Yonkers Police assisted on scene.
