State Police arrest two who possessed more than three dozen forged credit cards

On February 7, 2024, State Police of Schodack arrested Erick Jose Berroa, 26, of Bronx, NY, for 41 counts of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the second degree.  Manuel E. Grullon Lopez, 38, of South Richmond Hill, NY, was arrested for 15 counts of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the second degree. 

On February 7, 2024, at about noon, Troopers received information that a vehicle believed to be involved in past diesel fuel thefts utilizing stolen credit card information was in the area of Columbia Turnpike in East Greenbush, NY. The vehicle was located and stopped by Troopers in the immediate vicinity. The driver was identified as Jose Berroa, and the passenger as Grullon Lopez.  Further investigation discovered Jose Berroa was in possession of more than two dozen gift cards containing what is believed to be stolen credit card information. An additional 15 gift cards containing what is believed to be stolen credit card information were located within the vehicle.  

Both were arrested and transported to SP Schodack for processing. Both were arraigned at the Schodack Town Court and released on their own recognizance.
