On September 27, 2024, State Police of Wilton arrested Jonathan R. Clayfield, 26, of Schenectady, and Thomas E. Clayfield, 29, of Schenectady, NY, each on a warrant for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the third degree.
On March 16, 2024, at about 7:30 p.m., Troopers located a vehicle in the area of Locust Grove Road in Greenfield, NY. The vehicle had been reportedly stolen from Chestertown, NY, earlier that day. The investigation determined that J. Clayfield and T. Clayfield allegedly drove the stolen vehicle to the location and fled into the woods when they saw Troopers patrolling the area.
J. Clayfield and T. Clayfield were arrested at the Schenectady County Correctional Facility upon their release for an unrelated matter. They were transported to SP Wilton for processing. Following processing, they were arraigned at the Wilton Town Court, where they were both released on their own recognizance.
