Press Release

On February 16, 2024, State Police of Greenwich arrested Roland Brathwaite, 34, of Troy, NY, and James M. Brennan, 21, of Greenwich, NY, each for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the third degree.

On February 16, 2024, at about 1:15 p.m., Troopers stopped a vehicle on State Route 29 in Easton, NY, for a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation. The driver was identified as Brathwaite, and the passenger as Brennan.  The investigation determined Brathwaite did not have a valid driver’s license and was arrested for an unrelated active arrest warrant issued by the Troy City Court. Further investigation discovered the pair were in possession of felony-weight narcotics, leading to the arrest of Brennan.

Both were transported to SP Greenwich for processing. Both were arraigned at the Washington County Centralized Arraignment Part Court.  Brathwaite was remanded to the Washington County Correctional Facility without bail.  Brennan was released on his own recognizance.
