On March 12, 2024, at approximately 2:48 p.m., troopers from SP Rochester Gun Involved Violence Elimination (GIVE) Initiative conducted a traffic stop on a 2017 Honda Accord on Ringle Street in the city of Rochester for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop, troopers recovered two loaded semi-automatic handguns, a high-capacity magazine, and several rounds of ammunition. A 17-year-old male from Rochester, NY, was charged with Criminal Possession of Weapon 2nd (C Felony) along with an additional 17-year-old male who was charged with Criminal Possession of Weapon 2nd (C Felony) and Criminal Possession of Weapon 3rd (D Felony). The subjects were arraigned at the Monroe County Youth Part Court.
