State Police arrest Oklahoma man for drug and gun possession during Clifton Park traffic stop

On July 29, 2024, State Police assigned to the Troop G Community Stabilization Unit arrested David R. Brakebill, 39, of Oklahoma City, OK, for Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the second degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the seventh degree.

On July 29, 2024, at about 8:48 p.m., Troopers stopped a vehicle on I-87 in Clifton Park, NY, for a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation. The driver was identified as Brakebill. The investigation discovered both a controlled substance and an illegally possessed loaded handgun within Brakebill’s vehicle. Both were seized.

Brakebill was arrested and transported to SP Northway for processing.  He was arraigned at the Halfmoon Town Court and released on his own recognizance.
