On July 28, 2024, State Police, with the assistance of the Westfield Police Department (MA), arrested John F. Ladue, 56, of Westfield, MA, for Menacing in the second degree, Reckless Endangerment in the second degree, Endangering the Welfare of a Child and multiple Vehicle and Traffic Law violations.
On July 28, 2024, at about 10:15 a.m. Troopers responded to the I-87 in Colonie, NY, for the reports of a road rage incident. The investigation determined that Ladue was operating a vehicle involved in a road rage incident. During the incident, Ladue allegedly drove recklessly, displayed what appeared to be a handgun, and pointed it at another vehicle involved. The displayed item was later determined to be a BB gun (imitation revolver). The other vehicle involved had a passenger under the age of 16 inside at the time of the crime.
Ladue was located at his Massachusetts home by the Westfield Police Department (MA) and made admissions to being involved in the incident in NY. He voluntarily responded to SP Latham where he was arrested and processed. Ladue was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Colonie Town Court on August 7, 2024, and released.
