State Police arrest Kingston man for possessing a sexual performance by a child and unlawful surveillance

On April 16, 2025, State Police Kingston and Catskill BCI with the assistance of the Community Stabilization Unit and Computer Crime unit arrested Alan DePace, 24, of Kingston, for Unlawful Surveillance 2nd degree and Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child less than 16 years old.

DePace is accused of possessing numerous images and videos consistent with child exploitation and obtaining inappropriate image of an individual without their consent. His arrest followed an investigation and the execution of a search warrant on his person and electronic devices. The investigation stemmed from a Cybertip investigation from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) originating from a messaging application.

DePace was arrested and processed at SP Kingston. He was released and issued an appearance ticket returnable to City of Kingston Court on May 6, 2025.
