State Police arrest Guilderland man for Burglary

On December 15, 2024, State Police of Latham arrested Jacklin D. Louissaint, 27, of Guilderland, NY, for Burglary in the second degree, two counts of Assault in the third degree, Criminal Mischief in the fourth degree, Resisting Arrest, and Obstructive Governmental Administration in the second degree. 

On December 15, 2024, at about 2:13 p.m., Troopers responded to the report of a disturbance in Guilderland, NY.  On arrival, Louissaint was witnessed physically fighting with multiple victims who were attempting to restrain him in the roadway.  While attempting to intervene, Louissaint charged at a Troopers and was taken into custody after a brief resistance. The investigation determined Louissaint had reportedly forcibly entered an occupied building nearby by breaking the window.  He then entered the building without permission and allegedly assaulted individuals known to him, who fled the building into the roadway, where multiple bystanders attempted to intervene. The victims were removed from the scene in a vehicle by a Good Samaritan while the other bystanders attempted to restrain Louissaint until Troopers arrived.

Louissaint was transported to SP Guilderland for processing. He was then arraigned at the Guilderland Town Court and remanded to the Albany County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2,000 cash, $10,000 bond, or a $20,000 partially secured bond.
