State Police Arrest Four Individuals for Robbery in Highland

On July 30, 2025, at approximately 8:40 p.m., State Police were dispatched to a liquor store located on Route 9W in Highland, NY for a report of a robbery.

While enroute to the location, Troopers observed the suspect vehicle, a Nissan Murano, traveling west on Route 44/55. A traffic stop was initiated and four individuals, along with two children, were observed inside the vehicle.

While interviewing the driver, identified as Selena Fonda Bressendorff, 24, of Wallkill, she became combative and physically assaulted the Trooper.

Further investigation determined that S. Bressendorff, along with three individuals, Jahnya Bressendorff, 22, Jennifer A. Robertson, 20, both of Wallkill, and an 18-year-old juvenile were at the liquor store on Route 9W when Robertson got in a physical altercation with an employee before leaving the store.

All four individuals were transported to SP Highland for processing and charged with the following:

•              Assault 2nd degree: Intent to Cause Injury to Officer/Fireman/EMT/Nurse/Xing Guard – D Felony

•              Conspiracy 4th degree: Conspire to Perform a Class B or C Felony – E Felony

•              Endangering the Welfare of a Child (2 counts) – A Misdemeanor

•              Petit Larceny - A Misdemeanor

•              Criminal Possession Stolen Property-5th Degree – A Misdemeanor

•              Obstructing Governmental Administration 2nd degree – A Misdemeanor

•              Tampering With Physical Evidence: Conceal/Destroy – E Felony

•              Endangering the Welfare of a Child (2 counts) – A Misdemeanor

•              Petit Larceny – A Misdemeanor

•              Criminal Possession Stolen Property 5th degree – A Misdemeanor

Juvenile (18-year-old)

•              Robbery 2nd degree: Aided by Another – C Felony

•              Conspiracy 4th: Conspire to Perform a Class B or C Felony – E Felony

•              Endangering the Welfare of a Child (2 counts) – A Misdemeanor

•              Petit Larceny – A Misdemeanor

•              Criminal Possession Stolen Property 5th Degree – A Misdemeanor

All four individuals were arraigned in Ulster County Jail CAP Court on July 31, 2025, and remanded to Ulster County Jail.

Both children were transferred to the care of a third party.

State Police were assisted on scene by Marlborough PD and Lloyd PD.

The investigation is ongoing.
